Project Management (Certification Optional)
Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.
Regular work or operations are the organization’s ongoing execution of activities that produce the same product or provide a repetitive service, e.g. production operations, banking operations, telecommunication services, accounting operations etc.
Most work being done in organizations can be described as either operational or project work. Though temporary in nature, Projects can help achieve the organizational goals when they are aligned with the organization’s strategy.
There’s a relationship among Portfolios, Programs and Project. The Project Manager needs to understand these concepts and how each of them contributes to organizational goals. With or without certification, this course discussing the elements of project management in relation to the integration of its 5 process groups and 49 project management processes.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to;
- Understand what is meant by a project
- Understand what project management means
- Identify and understand basic Project Management concepts
- Identify a project’s life cycle
- Enhance your ability to sell ideas and make presentations
- Prioritize projects
- Begin conceptualizing your project, including goals and vision statements
